About Us
The Montgomery Area Campaign to Prevent
Teen Pregnancy (MCPTP) is a project of the Gift of Life Foundation that
provides services to Montgomery Autauga, Elmore and Lowndes Counties. The mission of the Campaign is to insure a pregnancy-free
adolescence by raising awareness, educating youth and community,
supporting local service providers and uniting services and resources.
The Campaign's goal is to reduce teen pregnancy in the Campaign
coverage area by one-third by the year 2010.
The MCPTP offers:
- Parent presentations and brochures to promote communication between
parent and child.
- Age appropriate presentations and brochures to youth of all ages in
schools, community centers, youth groups, camps, etc. regarding teen
pregnancy prevention, making healthy choices, media literacy and the
consequences of risky behavior.
- Fun interactive events and contests for teens throughout the
community.
- Resource library full of videos, books, brochures and curricula
for teens and adults.
- Opportunities for teens to raise awareness among their peers.
- Interactive website website designed by area teens with information
for youth and adults.
